Vinnytsia Oblast is a region in central Ukraine, known for its agricultural industry, picturesque landscapes, and historical landmarks such as the M.I. Pirogov National Museum-Estate. It is famous for its fertile black soils, where grains and sugar beets are grown.

 

Total Area: 26,513 km²

 

Administrative Structure: The region is divided into 6 districts, 18 cities, 29 urban-type settlements, and 1,461 villages. The administrative center is the city of Vinnytsia.

 

Demographics: As of January 1, 2022, the population of Vinnytsia Oblast was approximately 1.5 million people. Due to Russian aggression, the population has significantly decreased.

 

Interesting Facts: Vinnytsia region is a land with fertile black soils, where grain and sugar beets are grown.  historical sites, such as the National Museum-Estate of M.I. Pirogov and the Potocki Palace, are located in the region. Vinnytsia Oblast is known for its picturesque landscapes, where numerous rivers and forests are located.

 

Russian-Ukrainian War: From the beginning of the full-scale invasion,Vinnytsia Oblast has repeatedly been subjected to missile attacks by Russian forces. The city of Vinnytsia and other settlements in the region have suffered significant destruction as a result of constant shelling. The region has received a large amount of internally displaced persons.As a result of the war, the region has suffered destruction and losses.
